Shantideva, The Way of Bodhisattva, 1997, revised edition, Shambhala 2006, reprinted, Pott 8vo, cream cloth with gilt titles highlighted in black to spine and front board, 22 + 361pp, silk bookmark present as issued with a frontispiece, with a foreword by the Dalai Lama; a new translation of one of this important Mahayana Buddhist text. A couple of trivial marks to cloth, spine panel slightly rubbed and marked, overall a very good and internally fine copy £8

M183B.  Sherwin, R, The Theatre of Magick, 1982, Baphomet 8vo pbk. 2007, 89pp including index; A practical guide to modern ritual magick, largely drawing upon the influences of Crowley and Spare, and includes Crowley’s Golden Verses of Pythagoras. The author was one of the co-founders (with Pete Carroll) of the Illuminates of Thanateros.  A couple of smallish dents to top of front cover otherwise near fine £15

Stokes, G.T, Ireland and the Celtic Church, 1st edition, Hodder & Stoughton 1896, 8vo, green cloth with gilt titles to spine, 16 + 358pp including index; a history of the church in Ireland from the time of St Patrick through to the English conquest in 1172; a few marks to cloth, corners and spine ends worn, joints and edges rubbed, damp spotting to fore edge of boards, edges of text block soiled, some occasional light foxing and soiling throughout, mainly to margins, ownership signatures to half title and top of title page, a couple of sentences underlined in ink, front hinge slightly strained, text tight and largely clean overall, a good solid copy £12

Svoboda, R.E, Aghora: At the Left Hand of God, 1986, Rupa 8vo pbk. 2004, 327pp; the first of the author’s studies of Aghora, one of the more extreme Hindu tantric traditions of the left-hand path which is focussed around the cremation ground; the author being a long term student of Aghori Vimalananda.  Some slight edge wear to covers, previous retailer’s label to rear cover, minor soiling to edges of text block, internally clean and tight, a near very good copy £5

Corners and spine ends slightly worn, joints rubbed, boards slightly marked in places, end papers and edges of text block browned, minor spots to a couple of margins, a couple to one page of text which is otherwise clean and tight, overall, a good + copy of an uncommon early issue £35
